Making resilient landscape for Wildlife and People

The Palm Oil and NGO (PONGO) Alliance, of which Sime Darby Plantation is a founding partner, has launched its official website last week. The website offers a quick and easy introduction to the landscape projects and initiatives that PONGO Alliance is undertaking.

Wildlife and People

Wildlife and PeoplePONGO Alliance is an association of oil palm growers, businesses and NGOs who jointly advocate for and support the conservation of orangutans and other wildlife within oil palm landscapes through engaging with growers, businesses, independent experts and NGOs. The Alliance works to seek ways to allow land outside protected areas established by governments to contribute to the conservation of wild species. PONGO Alliance also encourages private land owners and businesses to play a role in preventing the extinction of rare wildlife species, by allowing their land to contribute space, habitat and food for these species.
