New Britain Oils bolsters bakery team with raft of new appointments

New Britain Oils, one of the world’s leading suppliers of sustainable palm oil, has bolstered its bakery division to provide enhanced technical support with the appointment of three new team members.

This latest investment includes the appointment of a technical support manager, quality assurance technologist and bakery technologist, boosting New Britain Oils offering at all levels and providing customers with the benefit of over 100 years combined bakery knowledge and experience.

New Britain Oils produces an extensive range of bakery products, including cake margarine, pastry margarine and shortening. The range combines high quality and guaranteed performance with world-class sustainability credentials, and is all sold with the assurance of unmatched technical support from the newly strengthened team.

 

With 34 years of experience in the food industry, including 16 years focused on customer technical support for bakery customers, Norman Stark has been appointed as technical support manager. In a role created to utilise his vast expertise in the field, he will provide high level support to customers, both on site and remotely, addressing issues ranging from ensuring the right product specification for customers’ needs to fine tuning factory settings to get the best results from fats.

 

 

 

Quality assurance technologist Caroline Noble’s role will see her overseeing all aspects of quality across the division. She will also hold responsibility for gathering, responding to and acting on feedback from clients to ensure their needs are met at all times. Her role will also cover legal compliance.

 

Finally, bakery technologist Charlotte Baden, a skilled craft baker, joins New Britain Oils with more than seven years of experience in commercial bakeries. Her role will see her carry out in-house bakery trials, refining product specifications and guaranteeing fat performance. Charlotte brings with her a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of bakery applications from bread and pastry making to cake decorating.

 

 

 

The team is overseen by head of technical and bakery sales Adam Thomas, who has more than 35 years of experience in the sector, with Seven Seas and AAK. He comments: These new appointments mark a significant investment by New Britain Oils into the bakery division, placing our customer care services at the forefront of the sector.
