Adam Thomas
General Manager
Adam has more than 35 years’ experience in the oils and fats industry, beginning his career at Seven Seas Ltd before spending 25 years with AAK, where he gained a broad breadth of experience across all facets of the food industry. Since joining New Britain Oils in 2009, Adam has headed the technical and bakery sales departments, and now oversees operations at the Liverpool refinery and support offices.
Dave Christoforides
Sales Manager
Dave’s 25+ years of commercial experience in oils and fats has been primarily gained in the artisanal and industrial bakery sectors. His career history includes a decade each with Craigmillar (now known as Bakemark/CSM) and AAK. Dave joined New Britain Oils in 2013. His role sees him manage the sales of NBO’s packed products offering.
Norman Stark
Technical Support Manager
In Norman’s first 10 years in the food industry he gained a wide range of experience, covering everything from fruit and vegetable canning to bottling of sauces and pickles. The last 25 years, however, saw his specialism in oils & fats develop, first at Rowallan Creamery and then AAK. Over the last 16 years he has focussed on technical support for bakery customers, joining NBO in 2013.
Charlotte Baden
Q A Technologist
Bakery technician Charlotte, a skilled craft baker, joined New Britain Oils in 2013 with more than seven years of experience in commercial bakeries. Her role sees her carry out in-house bakery trials, refine product specifications and guarantee fat performance. Charlotte brings with her a comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of bakery applications from bread and pastry making to cake decorating.
Leanne Stretch
Q A Technologist
Leanne joined New Britain Oils in 2015 as Q A Technologist. Her degree in Food and Nutrition together with previous experience as an Applications Technologist in the flavourings sector has provided Leanne with a solid background in the food industry. She works closely with Charlotte Baden where together they cover all aspects of product quality within the Liverpool site. With her considerable knowledge and understanding of ingredient functions and applications combined with her strong awareness of food compliance and legislation, Leanne plays a key part in the technical support given to all customers.
